Meet the Editor
- Primary goal of this session was to meet the new editor, Stephen Axtell. Self introduction is below.
Greetings!
I introduced myself in our meeting, wherein I was able to meet a few of you. This is the introduction for those who missed Feb 2nd’s meeting. Hopefully, I’ll be able to meet many more of you in the coming months.
I am Stephen Axtell, and I am extremely excited to be working with the AANLCP and all of you! I am new to the field of Nurse Life Care Planning, something that I find as fascinating as I do impressive, so I am excited to see what you all have to contribute!
I have been an editor for 11 years, focusing primarily on Developmental Editing. I have worked on projects as small as articles and as large as full-length novels. In terms of complexity, I have created educational material for elementary school children in the same week I was editing a statistically validated Doctoral thesis using the TREND Standard.
I am, at heart, a collaborator before anything else. Please, reach out to me with questions, concerns, or ideas. Especially ideas. I can be reached at Journal@AANLCP.org
What you do as volunteers for this project is inspiring and I hope to do my small part to contribute to the industry that defines the lives of so many people.
Deadline changes
- Because of leadership changes, the deadline for submission will now be Feb 28th, 2022.
New Ideas:
- Changes to practice resulting from Covid.
- Possible best practices: Medicine administration, legal changes, isolation protocols.
- Subject deserving of further discussion and consideration.
