Dr. Nelson Hendler
Former Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Dr. Hendler graduated from Princeton, went to University of Maryland School of Medicine for his MD, and MS, and did a residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was assistant professor of neurosurgery, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for 31 years, and past president of the American Academy of Pain Management. He has authored 4 books, 34 medical textbook chapters, and 76 articles, testified on medical issues at the request of the US Senate three times, testified in 300 depositions and 75 trials in 12 states and lectured at over 60 hospitals and medical schools in 11 countries. He has served on the board of two multi-billion dollar public companies.

Stella Husch is the President of Strive Recreational Therapy Services. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks & Recreation with Therapeutic Recreation emphasis. She received a Masters Degree in Administration. Stella is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.

Dr. Ruth Rimmer
CEO Care Plans For Life
Dr. Ruth Rimmer is President & CEO of Care Plans for Life and has been working in the field of burn injury for over 30 years. She received her PhD in Lifespan Developmental Psychology and Certification in Gerontology from Arizona State University. During her tenure at the Arizona Burn Center at Valleywise, she served as the Family Service Director and as the Director of Psycho/Social and Prevention Research. Rimmer was responsible for assisting victims and their families with their rehabilitative needs. She also developed research protocols and published and lectured regarding the psycho/social and pain management issues of burn injury on a national and international level and continues to do pro bono research in these areas. She has been providing life care plans for burn, electrical, amputation, and polytrauma-injured individuals for 20 years and has authored and lectured extensively on the important aspects of burn and electrical injury recovery. She is fluent in Spanish.

Rebecca Powell
Registered Dietitian
Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Central Arkansas where she also completed her Master of Science in FACS. She completed her Internship at Southern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. She has been a Registered Dietitian since 2014. She is licensed in the state of Arkansas and holds specialty certification as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician. She is a current member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Powell was the former head of WIC for the SE Region of Arkansas. She also worked for Covenant Keepers Charter School to develop the National Nutrition School Breakfast and Lunch program. Powell has provided nutrition education and support for prenatal infants through the aging adult in such vast areas including critical care, transplants, dialysis, telemetry, OB/GYN, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Oncology, and in an outpatient setting as a nutrition counselor. Her role has included assessing the nutritional status and providing individualized nutrition care plans, developing workplace wellness media and nutrition science seminars, nutrition education, lab monitoring, skin/wound monitoring, and monitoring enteral and parenteral nutrition for the critically injured. Powell is currently employed with US Renal Dialysis Center in Central Arkansas and maintains a private consulting business in collaboration with VP Medical Consulting.
